50 Years of Racing
Built in 1969, Hartwell Speedway is situated on the outskirts of rural Hart County. Legendary drivers such as, Buck Simmons, C.L. Pritchett, Jabez Jones and countless others have all written their history around this 3/8 mile clay oval. Like days of the past drivers continue to travel from miles around for their chance to compete in the best sport on dirt.
Since purchasing Hartwell Speedway in 2007, Marty and Joyce Lance have prided themselves on creating a family friendly environment at Hartwell Speedway. Throughout their 14 year tenure they have partnered to raise over $50,000 for families in need of help during cancer diagnosis. They also strive to include children in the racing experience at Hartwell Speedway by hosting monthly power wheel and foot races for children of all ages. They also incorporate several fun activities for children of all ages, such as; Easter egg hunts, bicycle races, candy drops, and much more. As you can see, Marty and Joyce Lance work hard to provide a family friendly environment to all ages. You are invited to the best show on dirt every Saturday night.
