2022 Hartwell Speedway STOCK 8 Rules

STOCK UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED


Frame:
A. Stock for make and model.
B. SQUARE TUBING MAY BE USED TO TIE FRAME FROMINSIDE
FLOORPAN MAY BE NOTCHED TO DO SO NO XBRACE
C. BOLT IN SUBFRAME CONNNECTORSOK


Roll Cage:
A. All cars must have boxed cage with 1 1⁄2” o.d. x
.083” minimum tubing’s.
B. Must have three bars in left door and two bars in right door.
C. Loop around engine compartment permitted.
D. Two bars may run top main roll cage loop to rear frame rails.


Wheelbase:
A. Stock for make and model.
B. Ford may be 108”


Suspension:
A. Must be stock for make and model.
B. No jack bolts permitted.
C. STEEL BODY Racing Shocks permitted – stock mount – no heims NO
REMOVEABLE ENDS NON ADJUSTABLE nonrebuildable
D. Racing springs permitted. NO SPRING RUBBERSALLOWED
E. Lowering blocks allowed
F. Coil spring cars may use spring adjusters
G. Gen Camaro / Firebird factory adjusters on spring and
shocks only
H. Tube Upper A-frames ok but mount must be unaltered


Steering:
A. Stock for make and model.


Brakes:
A. Disc brakes on rear permitted. NO SCALLOPED OR DRILLED ROTORS
B. 3 wheel brakes permitted.
C. Dual master cylinders permitted – no adjuster


Wheels & Tires:
A. Steel wheels only – 8” maximum permitted.
B. American Racer Stocker Hard or Hoosier H500
C. Oversized lugs and studs permitted.


Rear End:
A. Stock for make and model.
B. May be locked.
C. 9 inch Ford floater permitted (NO LIGHTWEIGHT PARTS). Coil Spring
cars 3.5 in from bottom of rear end housing to bolt max same on both sides.
D. Torque arm mount may be aftermarket, to fit 9 inch housing.
Front of arm must be parallel with center of the transmission.


Body:
A. Factory stock appearing – may fabricate body – aluminum or
steel
B. All glass and flammable material items must be removed.
C. Roof must be stock.
D. Body may be hulled (including hoods & tops). For roll bars and
safety. outer rockers may be removed
E. Doors must be strapped, welded or bolted.
F. Area between driver and gas tank must be totally covered with
sheet metal. fire wall must go door to door
G. Body must be closed in rear, side to side and deck to top of
bumper.
H. Must have factory steel firewall & floorplan to rear of driver on both sides
I. Headlights, tail lights, and wheel covers must be removed.
J. See Body Rules attached


Bumpers:
A. Must be securely attached.
B. Must have lifting hook for wrecker.
C. Must not have exposed sharp edges.
D. Must be track approved.
E. Bracing must be behind bumper cover
F. No nerf or push bars


Engine:
A. Must be stock for make. Solid Motor Mounts Permitted
B. Must be in original location. 10″ from top idlerarm bolt to center of fuel pump
C. .060” overbore permitted. ANY 4 EYEBROW FLAT TOP PISTON
D. Headers permitted. NO 180 HEADERS
E. Chev. GM 362 cubes inch maximum.
F. Cam GM or Ford up to 460 lift maximum at valve hyd
Only. No roller. CHECKED WITH SOLID LIFTER AT 0LASH
G. Stock crankshaft or stock replacement only
Scat part # 942-910526 or 942-910442 – 48lb minimum
H. 602 crate engine NOT permitted
I. Rods stock or stock replacement


Heads:
A. Must be stock for make
B. No porting or polishing.
C. 3-angle valve job permitted. BOTTOM CUT 65 MAX DEG
D. Stock replacement valve only. 1.94 /1.50max valve
E. Any straight plug GM steel head – except Vortec
F. No Vortec Head
G. EGR Hump may be removed from exhaust ports of Ford
H. roller rocker arms permitted
I. Screw in studs permitted
J. No shaft mounted locker arm


Intake Manifold:
A. Edelbrock 2101OR 2701 Intake permitted. NO SPACER ORADAPTERS
B. One 4-barrel type only.
C. Any GM cast iron intake. GM aluminum intake must be
approved by techman.
D. Must be stock for make and model.


Carburetor:
A. Stock for make and model permitted.
B. Choke flap may be removed – must have choke horn
C. Holly 600 single line single pump permitted. $300 claim rule on
Carburetor. STOCK BOWLS AND METERINGBLOCKS
D. A.F.B. carburetor permitted. Spacers are not permitted.


Ignition:
A. Factory single point or HEI only.
B. Stock coil or OEM replacement.
C. Distributor may be locked out.


Flywheel and Clutch:
A. Stock for make and model.
B. Pressure plate and clutch disc must be stock appearing for make
and model.
C. Flywheel must weigh a minimum of 14 lbs.
D. Z28 flywheel permitted.


Fuel:
A. Gas only – 110
B. No additives – No oxygenators
C. Fuel must check -5 or +5 with gas checker compared to track
D. Electric fuel pumps are not permitted.
E. Nitrous oxide systems not permitted.
F. No superchargers or turbochargers permitted.
G. Fuel cell mandatory.


Radiator:
A. Any stock type of radiator.
B. Racing radiator permitted.
C. Must be in front of motor.


Starter:
A. Any factory type started permitted.
B. Racing starters permitted.


Transmission:
A. Stock 3, 4, or 5 speed are permitted.
B. Automatic transmissions are permitted.
C. No modification.


Protest Fees:
A. Complete Engine – $800 / Acceptance Fee $200
B. Top Engine head, cam, bore and stroke – $400 / Acceptance Fee $100
C. Carb – $100 / Acceptance Fee $30
D. Wheel Base Engine Set Back – $150 / Acceptance Fee $50
E. Flywheel and Clutch – $150 / Acceptance Fee $50
F. Suspension – $150 / Acceptance Fee $50
G. Complete Car – $1100 / Acceptance Fee $350
H. Tires – $125 Per Tire / Acceptance Fee $125 Per Tire (Winner gets $125 back


Safety Requirements:
A. Approved helmets and fire suits mandatory at all times.
